This is a huge tragedy, and not only because this young mother of three lost her life, but because it was preventable. As you'll soon find out, this has happened many times before when an airport worker forgot safety regulations.
Airports have regulations in place and reinforce them often to keep ground workers safe. But, I only found one article about ground worker safety from 2003. That's telling... Maybe this worker and the others were not warned enough about the hazards of coming to close to the plane's engines whether they were off or on!
Take a look at several more accidents just like this one as you continue to read this commentary. It appears that these "Accidents" happen quite frequently. The earliest I went back in my search was 2006 - Click and read this article below on this page.
