Whether you see this man's kind gesture as a beautiful Christmas story or not, you have to admit, it is just that, "A Beautiful, Kind Gesture." 

There are more positive comments in the Yahoo comment section of this news article then there are negative ones. Thank goodness! I really only saw one or two comments that talked about how there are U.S. children who will not receive a Christmas gift this Christmas. I thought about my little girl and how I struggled to get her a present each Christmas as I was a single mom and her father was not in the picture. Yet, somehow, there were always places for me to go and sign her up for a Christmas toy. There was churches, temples, schools, and philanthropist who gave needy children gifts every single year.  

I really can't see any child going toyless in the US on Christmas unless his/her parent(s) didn't let anyone know that they couldn't buy presents for their little one. If that's the case, then yes, there are US children who go without a toy to open Christmas day. It's sad but true.

This little girl is so happy, she can't sit still in that chair, and her eyes are glued to those toys. As she touches them, she is imagining playing with them - but mom/dad told her she'd have to wait until after they film her. I know, I was a little girl at one time (: - Believe me, her curiosity is killing her - but it doesn't show on her face - you have to look at her body language. Hahaha!

With all the sadness surrounding such children, it would be easy to become solem thinking about them. I hope that you don't dwell on this topic for to long today. After all, it is Christmas and I'm sure if you could help a child this Christmas you would have done so! Or, you already did help some or one! I love to watch a child's reaction to the toy I've given them. Isn't that worth it in the end? Should it matter where they live? Children should never be used as a political pawn in our (adults') in ability to get along. They are innocent and have nothing to do with politics. We must leave them out of our political fights.

The Story

A balloon launched by a Mexican girl and carrying her Santa present list floated over the U.S. border wall and was found by an Arizona man who granted the 8-year-old's Christmas wishes. Randy Heiss, 60, was out walking his dog in Patagonia, Arizona, about 20 miles northeast of the border, on Dec. 16 when he found the deflated red balloon and the present list attached with a red ribbon. On the outside of the note was the name "Dayami," and inside were the girl's top-10 present choices written in Spanish.

Top of the list was "Enchantimals" - animated human-animal figures - and a house for them, followed by painting and drawing supplies and slime. Heiss suspected the balloon had drifted from the Mexican border city of Nogales, Sonora. He took to social media and contacted popular Nogales radio station XENY via Facebook, according to Nogales International, a newspaper in the U.S. city of the same name. XENY reporter Cesar Barron began broadcasting Heiss' story on Wednesday and within an hour Dayami's family got in touch. XENY suggested Heiss and his wife meet the girl.

The couple bought most of the presents on her wish list, although the Enchantimals doll house was sold out, plus gifts for the girl's 4-year-old sister, Ximena, and made the 45-minute drive to Nogales, Mexico. When they met Dayami and Ximena at the radio station, Heiss and his wife said they were "Santa's helpers" and handed over the presents, to the girls' delight, video https://bit.ly/2SkmX0K posted by XENY's Barron showed. Heiss' only son died nine years ago and sharing Christmas with children was something he and his wife had been missing, he told local NBC television station KPNX in Arizona.

"There's a 20-foot-tall wall along the border, we've got concertina wire stretched across it now, but nothing is going to stop the faith of a child and her Christmas wishes," Heiss told the TV station. On Monday, the rest of Dayami's Christmas wishes came true.
