The first thing I noticed about this article's cover image was how pretty marijuana plant leaves are. I never noticed in all my adult life, and I don't know why I did today.
More importantly, I sincerely thought nationwide legal battles over marijuana were over! Yet, here we are again with seeing the use of the word 'illegal' used in the same article with the word marijuana. Hmmm? Isn't marijuana legal in California?
Guess what? I just found a great website that explained the differences between legal and illegal cannabis/marijuana use and sales. The author of the following linked article says that Californian adults 21 and older are allowed to use marijuana as long as they have 28.5 grams or less on their person or on their property. If you must have a license by the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC), and follow state regulations from local jurisdictions, to sell marijuana. Otherwise, you could be fined $500.00 and/or sentenced to 10 days to 37 years for violations.
Here is the link: For more detail Go There.
To answer my own question (in the title of this commentary), I found that I could if I wanted to, but I do not want to start a cannabis crop anywhere. I do not plan on changing my mind anytime soon either! Why would I want the hassle of dealing with the Federal Government finding ways to harass me to no end? That's right, it's still a Federal Crime to be involved with controlled substances since the 1970's Controlled Substance Act law was enacted.
Additionally, I only care about medicinal marijuana use anyway. I don't like it that kids use this drug and aren't able to focus in school. That's another reason why I wouldn't want to grow it. People would buy from me and give it to children. The above website link discusses penalties for selling or giving this drug to minors according to this website chart,
