Diane Keaton responds after her wallet is found
​50 years later: 'This is the craziest story!'

I like Keaton's response to losing her wallet 50 years ago. There was probably no cash in it, so she forgot all about it. It was awfully nice of Treasure hunter Anton Lulgjuraj who recovered the item after purchasing the contents of an abandoned storage locker in Brewster, N.Y., to return all its contents to her. Wow, what an honest soul.

Believe it or not, there are still genuinely honest people in this world. I for one am one of them. I found other's valuables and returned them promptly or as soon as I could. I've even mailed found a Driver's license to the person whose name was on it. 

Like several people who've commented in the Yahoo comment section of this article, I have never experienced the same in return. Yes, in my lifetime, I, similar to Keaton have lost numerous wallets; unfortunately. I did have one returned to me, less the $100.00 cash that was inside my wallet. Maybe the reason for me not getting most of my lost wallets back has something to do with me not being a movie star like her, but I doubt it. 

One of the wallets I lost was when I wore a brand new purse that unzipped in a square shape that housed an section for your cards. Well, I had gone somewhere that day that I need my daughter's and my birth certificates and SSN cards. "I forgot to zip the stupid purse all the way around and all my personal property fell out. I never heard a word about any of it. :(

​ The worst time that happened to me was one morning, on my way to work, I sat on the church steps where the bus stop was. When I got up to board the bus as it arrived, I thought I had grabbed all for of my purse and book bag straps. "I had only grabbed two!" :(

To my surprise, the post office called me to tell me that their postal worker found my purse, and that I would be able to go pick it up at the Post Office. I was elated! I was 'happy, happy, happy' because my paycheck and a lot of money was inside of my purse. I just knew the contents were intact. Boy, was I wrong.

There was something about the man (postal worker who found my purse and took it to his job). He appeared to be so kind and forthright to me. Then there's the lady they sent me to to retrieve my belongings. "Ugh, she had that look in her eyes (after I had a quick look inside to see if everything was there) that said, "I took your $100.00 and your teeny tiny umbrella (because it's cute and I wanted it)!" I cried a little. I said to her something like, "Wow, whoever stole my my money really did me wrong- I have rent to pay, a child, and I don't earn very much money at work!" She agreed -sort of- Her face though - It was so conspicuously shifty!
