Life is so short, why do so many people live it as if they'll live forever? Taking pride in ones family should be priority; otherwise, why start one?

To begin with, the debate continues as to whether or not marijuana causes people who've smoke it to commit crimes. Believe it or not, there is a clear-cut answer to this question. The answer is 'No'! No one has ever murdered anyone and used the defense (and consequently was acquitted) that he or she murdered another because he or she was under the influence of marijuana - Marijuana may have played a part in this tragic story by lulling the mom to sleep, but it sure as heck didn't cause her to commit murder. 

Oh sure, marijuana studies have concluded that the drug slows down cognitive ability; however, those studies also showed ones inability to think straight, while high on marijuana, is temporary, unlike brain destroying illicit drugs such as Methamphetamine which could lead to permanent brain damage. 

None the less, I would have been really surprised had the judge accepted her defense. Instead of believing this so-called mother of two, the judge gave her 20 years to sit in prison and think about what she did to her own children by teaching them an in appropriate life-altering lesson. When they refused to stop playing and get out of the family car, she left them locked in stating that she thought the 2-year-old would bring her self and her younger brother out eventually. Now, that's just bad parenting 101.

This news article reads that the mother was watching 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'... So what, I say! I don't watch the Kardashians, yet, I guess if those of you who find this story ironic because you see a connection to this woman's obvious poor life choices and this t.v. family, you may have a point. But don't you think that you're somehow blaming the Kardashians for what this woman did?

The mother originally told investigators that 2-year-old daughter Juliet Ramirez and son 16-month-old Cavanaugh Ramirez had disappeared from an enclosed sunroom and later locked themselves in her car on May 26, 2017. She told investigators that she searched for her children for half an hour before she found them unresponsive inside her 2010 Honda Crosstour.

According consumerist.com 37 children die in hot cars each year...

  I remember being a little kid and being told to stay in the car when it was 100 degrees outside windows rolled up.   Wrong. Most cars today have some annoying child lock mechanism. I hate being in a friend's car and needinh him to open the door from the outside.

  Smoking pot is harmless according to the proponents of making "recreational" use of marijuana legal in all 50 states. It was not harmless for the two kids.
