It's pretty much the same scenario, man has history of violent outburst and domestic violence. What's different about this tragic murder case is that the killer used to be a sheriff's deputy. I don't know about you, but I find that a bit shocking because it doesn't happen all that often. We'll take a look at just how often law enforcement employees have murdered their family members, in a few. For right now, let's focus on David Gerald McNabb the killer cop.
As I've mentioned David had a history of violence to the point that he had been arrested and was given probation. You'd think that would have been suffice discipline and the punishment fit the crime. But 'NO', clearly that man needed intervention. He needed to be stopped way back in 2012 right after his first arrest and jailing. Oh no, let's start even earlier in the year when he volunteered to resign as a sheriff deputy where he'd worked for 11 years. Curiously, this news article didn't mention any details as to why he resigned. Should I speculate by commenting here as to what I think his reason for leaving was? Maybe I should not. Those details will come out sooner or later. But, I betcha you are mulling over it right now just like me!
Also, I wonder if either drugs or alcohol played a part in this man's violence and outrage. I'm not making any excuses for him, I am merely putting two-and-two together after recalling all the statistics associated with these kinds of crimes.
Well, the police certainly did taxpayers a great deal of service and took a bad guy down; it's too bad he was one of their own at one time. He behaved in a way that makes me think he wanted to die-by-cop. Maybe he was mentally unstable and it had nothing to do with drugs or alcohol. Either way, he seemed as if he wanted out of his misery. However, he should have taken his life first and left those other innocent people alive.
