I'm inclined to agree with the comment @human wrote in the comment section of this YH article. This person commented that Non-Disclosure Agreements are used to keep legitimate company secrets. However, I said, "it's not like our government hasn't found 'loopholes', in the past, to get around having to follow the same laws as ordinary US citizens." (sarcasm)

Case in point, "Everyone pays taxes. Correct?" Wrong, big business is protected and encouraged to utilize substantial tax breaks - that behavior, more times than not, means they wind up not paying any taxes whatsoever.

And I said, "Those tax breaks for big business are supposed to be able to allow companies to trickle-down savings to the middle-class and to the poor. Yeah, that's been working great for decades!" (more sarcasm)

Lastly, another example of NDA 'abuse - my opinion' is when the use of NDA on the job means that employers can fire you 'At-Will' even if you did nothing wrong. Okay, 'whistle-blower' aside, but most everyone else, yes, they can be sacked for no reason.

So, can the president really get away with demanding his staff sign this agreement? Who knows. All I know is that his advisers are schooled in all legal matters of state and, for the most part, would not give him advice to 'outright' break US government laws.
