Staring into faces of suspected, charged, or convicted murderers.

According to this (IBT) International Business Times article in Yahoo news, a teenage girl shot and killed her 15-year-old friend named 'Melanie Mesen' (However, OSCO Homicide Squad detectives identified her as 'Melanie Medina'), and then, with the help of a 22-year-old man, they dumped her body on the side of a road in Orlando, Florida.
Next, a $5,000.00 reward was offered to anyone with information related to Medina's killers!
I have a question for all of you, "Is there something in the drinking water?" Because, I am trying to use deductive reasoning to figure out why there are so many people in the United States killing loved ones and friends! However, I have come up with nothing! There is only one excuse for killing a loved one or close friend, and that would be if they're threatening to kill, or to do you bodily harm, or, to rape you! Yet for most of the cases reported on MSN - mainstream news networks, self defense isn't why those convicted of domestic violence and murder have committed the crimes.
Also, since a child's brain isn't fully developed until she or he is around 25-years-of-age, why isn't this knowledge taught in school? Teens and kids need to know that they will make dumb mistakes, but none of their mistakes should be harming or killing another person(s), because that would mean that they'll pay dearly for their impulsive act of violence!
If you're like me, you believe the bible where it reads, "Rebellion is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod (Many believe this verse means hitting a child, I do not) of correction will bring it out of him/her" -The bible is the rod, not a belt "My rod and my shield, is another bible verse..." The bible is the rod, I reiterate, and the rod is the Word of God in heaven come to life who's Jesus (Yahshua).
I am not preaching to you, so don't get me wrong, I am just showing misguided adults how children behave in reality!
Now, as far as adult murderers go, those people are narcissistic and emotionally disturbed. They lived long enough to know the consequences for murder, and that they should stop and think long and hard before striking out or shooting someone.
Once again, do not misunderstand me, I do not feel sorry for this teen murderer, but I do wonder what her motive was for murdering her friend - Was it an accident, or did she shoot her on impulse!
We shall have to wait and see!
