Editor, L&SS China prepares its military for a possible confrontation with the US regarding the South China Sea. All of this preparation is China's way of letting the new president, "President Donald J. Trump" know that it is not going to take his tarif threats lightly and that it will retaliate! China has claimed the SCS for hundreds of years, according to the Beijing government. There is an ongoing dispute between China and ASEAN nations bordering the SPO (Vietnam is one of those nations) - over this territory. China keeps sending the word out that it is willing to talk and work out mutual agreements with the Philippine government regarding the the SCS.
