BREAKING: Police say officers responded to the burglary and attempted to gain entry into the home when the 57-year-old homeowner began firing shots in their direction.

Pardon me for saying, 'That homeowner was only 57-years-old!' It wasn't like the police were dealing with an elderly gentleman. It's too bad he died during all of this. He must have thought Martial Law kicked in or something. 

It was either something like my last comment, or the man was mentally ill. If his problem was the later, why on God's green earth does he have access to a gun!

If my memory serves me correctly, I do believe this story is the fourth or fifth one about the police trying to gain entry into the wrong home that I've written a commentary on within a year's-time. 

So, you've probably guessed what I'm about to say! The police are to blame too because they tried to get into the man's home, and he probably couldn't get his thoughts together fast enough to realize they weren't burglars; so he shot at them to keep them from gaining full entry into his house.

Hey! The police have done that before - they couldn't cover up their mistake in every single case because they didn't have to shoot all of the homeowners. Yet, some of the homes' occupants' dogs did get shot and killed while they were trying to protect their human from an intruder.

I don't think the officers will be held liable for this mistaken identity because they were clearly fired upon.

Situations like this is why I too believe Martial Law will be implemented in this country very soon!
