🤣Acorn The Flying Squirrel

This tiny little baby squirrel lost his family; probably after he fell out of a tree. His mommy said she found him on the ground, and he looked very weak. She also said that she didn't think he would make it.
But he did make it - with his cute little self!
Are you like this rescuer and would nurse the baby squirrel back to health? I would do the same if I could. Unfortunately, I have a cat and since even flying squirrels are rodents, I wouldn't want to take the chance that she won't attack; and God forbid, eat the poor little one.
Having grown up in Southern California at the border of a mountain, I just loved seeing the wild life. It's too bad S. California doesn't have flying squirrels. I sure would have loved to have seen one in real life.
This little guy is like any other pet; with the exception of the flying in the house thing. But, some birds are allowed to fly in the house, so no big deal for Acorn to do it! Right!
Besides, he is so adorable and harmless. I know wild life authorities were having a fit that Acorn's savior intervened in this baby's natural environment. I just read a story in the news were a man saved a dying dehydrated bear cub only to be threatened with a fine, and the possibility of jail time, for doing so. Maybe those laws depend on where you live and what type of wild life you're talking about saving.
