I was overcome with anger at this person as I watched the t.v. show 'Crime Watch Daily' episode earlier today.
What I saw was a deranged maniac showing off her killing prowess. However, just as I expected, my daughter's words "There are always two sides to every story" came back to haunt me into critically thinking my way to a more two-sided truth to this story. I believe I found one after reading the comments below this Facebook post.
The following writing is my response to a relative of the elderly woman 'Cynthia Cdebaca' who shot and killed her son-in-law. Cdebaca's niece, Sabra Salas said that her aunt suffered from early onset Dementia. Most everyone else on this news thread said she was, in essence, pure evil! At first, I said the same thing about her.
Note: I'm fine with all who disagree with my opinion (that's all this commentary is).
Sabra Salas_____
Hello! I'm sorry for your loss (Your aunt went to prison).________
I just want to say that I believe you! But, I don't think that I would have had I not just watched Law & Order: SVU. Munch's uncle guest-starred on Episode 8, he had a reversible form of Dementia but no one knew it and just thought he was a homeless man suspected of murdering a mom and her young daughter. Turns out, Munch saw him and had him seen by a doctor who determined that he had Dementia.
While the uncle took his medication, some of the side-effects caused him to be unable to think clearly. LSS, the uncle overheard how the lawyers had strong evidence about the real killer, so the uncle stalked the killer and pushed him in front of an approaching train. He was elated that the man died and even said to the lawyer ( name? ) something like, "We got him! And, what's wrong? Aren't you happy?"
With his medication adjusted, he was distraught at what he did and didn't want to go to a mental hospital (temporarily) but wanted instead to pay for killing that murderous raper.
This may be t.v., but somewhere daily, television is reflecting real life.
Your aunt sounds like she has Dementia, but the experts say she was competent enough to stand trial. I really don't understand the judge's decision!!!!!
I worked as a Nurse's Assistant before with residents who were diagnosed with having Dementia (Any of the brain deteriorating diseases, i.e., Alzheimer's Lewy body; which are most common).
Sorry, about this long comment, but I just had to say something. May God give you and your family peace in your hearts during these difficult times.
Conclusion:
It makes sense to me that Cdebaca be admitted to a mental institution (length of time?, I don't know).
