Listen & Study Services' Commentary:
I wanted you to watch the video, so this is why I gave you a sneak peek at one of the fantastic new scientific-technological discoveries that I know most people would love.
Right off the bat, I want to tell you about what, to me, is the most fascinating discovery that's discussed in this YouTube video: Scientist discovered a way to store 360 terabytes of your binary information for 13 billion years! And, here I was worried as to what could happen to all of my Facebook images that used to be pictures/snapshots on my cell phone; of which I can only store up to a terabyte for a year at a time after paying a continuous fee. I am overwhelmed with excitement about this great news!
Inventors: Scientist at the University of Southampton United Kingdom
Using nanostructured glass, scientists from the University’s Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) have developed the recording and retrieval processes of five dimensional (5D) digital data by femtosecond laser writing.
Now what do you think about this new discovery? You can leave your comment in the comment section below the video:
It's too bad that the general public is not what they have in mind as far as this digital storage goes. Read what, what I suppose, initially anyway, this storage would be used for :

... major documents from human history such as Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), Newton’s Opticks, Magna Carta and Kings James Bible, have been saved as digital copies that could survive the human race. A copy of the UDHR encoded to 5D data storage was recently presented to UNESCO by the ORC at the International Year of Light (IYL) closing ceremony in Mexico.
Universal Declaration of Human Rights recorded into 5D optical dataThe documents were recorded using ultrafast laser, producing extremely short and intense pulses of light. The file is written in three layers of nanostructured dots separated by five micrometres (one millionth of a metre).
2021 UPDATE:
Here we are 5 years later, but we still are not any closer to being able to purchase this technology because it's not on the market for regular customers; and, I wonder if it ever will be. Well, I should think positive! Maybe soon the technology's creators will suddenly realize the great need consumers have for such a vital product.
Now, about the rest of the discoveries discussed in this same video, they are fantastic too! See videos below this page.
