Mother orangutan climbs out of her habitat enclosure to rescue her baby who fell into a garden, zoo authorities told WA Today. 

The zoo also said that this wasn't the first time an orangutan escaped its habitat. Now, "Can I you say, SCARY with a capital S!" If I were there when the orangutan got out, I would have walked away calmly but quickly as I could as to not alarm the mother orangutan; whom I am quite sure is several times as strong as a human and could do some serious damage to me. 

Yet, this video shows people taking footage and pictures of the animal. Sure the Mashable article mentions how the people gave her her space, but come on, does anyone reading this article really believe that if she had gave chase to either one of those people, that she could not have caught up with them and beat the living daylight out of them! Or worse yet, she could have caught and killed one of them. Remember, she was going after her baby; most wild animals are ferocious while tending to their offspring - they will kill you even if you're not showing any signs of threat.

This doesn't help ease the fear of zoos for those of us who ponder things like this happening just as we visit a zoo! Those crazy sightseers might have gotten more than they bargained for that day; it's a good thing she was in a good mood and was just a little confused by the people.

Can I interest any of you guys in some free tickets to this zoo? :D
