JOLIET, Ill. -- Police say they found 16-month-old Semaj Crosby's little deceased body stuffed in a sofa at her home where her and her mother lived with people police are calling 'squatters'.
Speaking of those squatters, the mother's attorney said that there were approximately five to 15 of them coming and going any time they pleased.
My thoughts on the squatters statement: The mother's attorney may have made the statement because he/she plans to point the blame on one or more of the squatters!!!
Either way the case goes, I sure hope this woman (the mother of the slain toddler) gets charged and convicted of murder or something related to her clear involvement in her child's death. This is a case of child neglect on her part.
"Will County Sheriff's Department Deputy Chief Rick Ackerson said during a news conference that the girl's death was "suspicious," but that an autopsy is not yet complete." I agree with the Sheriff's Dept. And, since the autopsy was inconclusive and awaiting a toxicology screening, I am praying this little one didn't get ahold of or was given drugs that killed her.
Talk about suspicious behavior, a day after the mother reported her daughter missing, she attempted to deny detectives entry in her home to search it.
Poor poor baby! :'( Crying face.
