Coaches are trusted to coach children. This trust gives a sex offender easy access, in many places, into a vulnerable child's life to violate that trust by taking advantage of him or her.
I read a book in my Advanced English class titled, "Predators" written by Anna C. Salter, Ph.D., a Psychologist. My assignment was to do a book review. In my review, I wrote how Salter wrote in her book that she visited sex offenders in prison who had molested (her words, not mine - I say rapist) children and many of them tortured their victims too.
Salter wrote how sex offenders know their victims within seconds of meeting them. They can tell if a child is going to be easy or difficult to target and then they attack. They also know the typical places where children frequent and they con their way closer to them. Some of those places she mentioned are, churches, schools, or community centers.
That was what this man in this article did, "He conned his way into that school and picked his victims soon afterwards and simply took his time getting ready to strike his victims at the opportune time.
Good news is, "He can't harm kids now that he's in prison!" Yes, he'll get a jolly welcome from the other prisoners in there!
