I am floored after having read this article. As a woman of African descent, I am also surprised at how these Caucasian women were treated so harshly by their men. Ah come on, you don't think other women did all those horrid things to punish them do you? 

I'll tell you one thing, you'll be taken aback like I was after reading this arduous and damnable historical information. Gee, "Was America really once great?" I don't want one more person to quote Donald Trump in front of me again! 

Surely there must be some mistake and men did not treat women like rabid animals for wanting to vote! That time in history is so unimaginable~ I am at a lack of words...

Well, at least that time has come and gone, and hopefully and prayerfully, it will never rear its ugly head again!
