Once the coyote made her way into the building, it started growling immediately prompting the doctor to make a run for it out the nearest exit door! 

Coyote are normally afraid of humans, so why this one was in a hurry to follow one is beyond my knowledge of this one's strange behavior.  I bet he thought at the time, "Of all the wild animals to follow me into the building, why did it have to be a coyote?" It's too bad it wasn't a wild rabbit, raccoon, or even a squirrel; all of these animals are pretty much afraid of humans too!

If my memory serves me correctly, coyote are normally shy of humans, but this one's actions are very peculiar to say the least. Also, I grew up in Altadena (Pasadena), California where coyote families ran freely throughout the neighborhoods. None of them ever bothered any of us kids as we walked to and from school before sunrise and at dawn weekly - the time coyote are out and about searching for food to feed their families. Hmmm? Something to think about uh!

Coyote are vicious predators to other wildlife when they are hungry. I know this first hand. A little over a decade ago, when I still lived in Southern California (Altadena), a few years before I left for good, I had the most nauseating experience with coyote (hearing my neighbor's awful story about what they did to her cats made me sick to my stomach). Well, my friend had this experience and I spent weeks trying to console her after this horrifying event. My friend had indoor and outdoor cats (adopted feral cats).

I passed by her home early mornings on my way to the bus stop and she'd be up pre-sunrise. One morning she came to her door to say good morning and to tell me what the coyote did to 'Ladybug' - "...only her tail was left" she said! The ironic thing about her outdoor cats is that she built a makeshift safe place on her porch for them, but the coyote broke through it and attacked and killed one of them anyway. :'(

Lastly, the doctor said if a coyote followed him into work, what's next? I too wonder now about that worrisome probability! The only thought I have though lies with human animals!
