I've given this theory a lot of thought! HOWEVER, I still have not allowed myself to arrive at a definitive 'Yes' conclusion that we're living in a matrix.
I guess those of you who know me, or, you're acquainted with me, wonder how a cognizant being could entertain such thoughts!
I'll tell you how and why I've been thinking about the matrix theory for a few years now.
I believe those thoughts started to run across my mind first of all, since I was a young child. I was ultra-sensitive emotionally and spiritually. Many nights I'd dream that I was flying high in the sky (and it seemed so real). Those dreams were repeat dreams that stopped completely once I was moved from a loving foster home where I lived for almost two years (from 6 almost 7 to about 8 1/2 yrs).
While dreaming, my spirit would hover over the city where I lived. And it would even sore through the sky and watch people move around. Somehow, I was comforted flying real high up. I felt safe; but I don't know why I felt this way.
About eleven years ago, I had another episode that was uniquely similar to my childhood repeated flying dreams. In this dream; however, I was being held up in the air by an invisible being. Let's just say, "I didn't see the being as a being while I dreamt!" I saw the being as the air holding and tossing me gently in the air. I was once again comforted by the situation almost from the start. The only time I felt slightly nervous was initially whenever two of my brothers kept telling me to come down because I might get hurt! I pondered their concerns for a few seconds and resumed my activity of being bounced softly in the air.
What those dreams of supernatural occurrences have to do with my believing (for a long time) that us humans live in a matrix, is that after I woke up, I realized that something or someone was holding me up in the air.
With this said, "I began to wonder if that someone was God!"
Cut to the here and now. The matrix that scientist are talking about isn't all that different from the one that I believe humans live in. The matrix scientist such as Steven Hawking, Neal deGrasse Tyson, an others believe we live in seems robotic to me. I on the other hand, do not feel we're being controlled by any means. And, I do not feel that our simulation is a realistic simulation. That's right, I feel as if we're living in fleshly bodies but in a matrix that God created using numbers (modern scientist theorize that their matrix was also made using binary code like numbers).
Stay with me here, I am not a scientist; however, I love the idea of numbers! I believe numbers are the key to our world (this is another commentary for me to write later).
How do you feel about what I wrote? Do you agree with the scientist that we're living in a simulation?
