Today: Jan 1- Illinois' new
​marijuana legislation became law

What's next? Are massive numbers of Illinois residents going to be getting stoked often enough for this state to turn a tax profit from sales of the drug?

Personally, I won't be one of the Illinoisans smoking marijuana; nor will I be selling it. I may, on the other hand, invest in non-THC marijuana since it has helped so many sick people. Yes, I feel this new law has potential to bring much needed revenue taxes to our state.

Should non-users invest in what is promising to be a booming industry?

While I would love to invest in this most auspicious undertaking so I could possibly make a lot of money, I am not in a hurry to invest in this venture with the knowledge that I would be a part of a movement where people get high on a regular basis. This new law  will set a precedents which allows adults to use drugs in front of their impressionable kids. It will be a, "Do as I say and not as I do" situation in marijuana smoking families. An exception for any interest I may have in such an investment would be for those who benefit healthwise from non-THC marijuana.  THC is the drug in marijuana that gets one high.

Lastly, like cigarettes, our children will find ways to smoke 'Weed' and then they'll become dull or lazy brained because of some side effects of this drug will cause them to be a little slow at focussing in school?

Is smoking or selling marijuana going to cause problems on the federal level?
